Bridge and culvert location surveys are required when existing structures are either undersized or deteriorating and need to be repaired or replaced.

Bridge & Stream has considerable experience in conducting bridge location surveys, particularly for railroads. Our surveys provide dimensions, locations, and elevations of existing bridge components for structures that include trusses, deck plate girders, thru plate girders, swing spans, concrete bridges, and timber bridges.

 

This data enables structural designers to order the appropriate materials and plan construction sequencing in order to minimize operational disruption. The location surveys can also be used for the hydraulic analysis of the existing and proposed structures. Drawings of the surveyed structures are provided in either Microstation or AutoCAD format.
