PERMITTING
Bridge & Stream has a thorough knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations and has extensive experience obtaining permits for projects in FEMA designated floodplains, particularly for bridge replacement projects. Our certified floodplain managers (CFMs) can assist with reviewing existing floodplain delineations, analyzing hydraulic (HEC-RAS) models for proposed changes, and completing permit applications to local and national floodplain managers.

Our staff includes wetland delineation specialists to quantify the extents of on-site wetlands. We can help you create erosion and sediment control plans (ESCP) for construction requirements, including the selection and design of best management practices.

Bridge & Stream staff can determine construction project related Federal, State and Local permits needed and can assist in obtaining required permits. Bridge & Stream’s experience includes permit coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, and numerous state and local agencies. We help clients coordinate nationwide permits, national register of historic places (NRHP), and Section 401 certifications of the Clean Water Act.
